This piece marks the beginning of my digital art exploration. Created during the many lockdowns brought forth by covid-19, it is purely experimental. The artwork developed from the utter need and hunger to create something inspired and reflective of joy whilst living a time where I felt robbed of such. You can almost see in the lines my frustration and the urgency to release any sense of hope and excitement for life still left in me. Cynthia’s Laughing Boy is euphoria and catharsis pulled from darkness.

This artwork was born from an invitation from multidisciplinary artist Hersley Casero to take part in his initiative known as “The Laughing Boy Project ''.
