These are our confessions…
The “Face Value” documentary is a short “confessional” based film complementary to the selection of artworks exhibited. It is a collection of interviews of members of my own generation answering questions about how they see the impact of modern day portraits, also known as selfies. The intention of the short movie is to provide insight into the minds of 20-24 year olds on their habits, thoughts and reflections.
Karlsvelis Ramirez, 20, Venezuelan-Portuguese; Luena Bettencourt, 22, Cape-Verdean; Lydia Darman, 21, Indonesian; Nataniel Fernandes, 21, Angolan; Mario Mangueira, 24, Mozambican; Benjamin Nicholson, 23; were hand picked according to their cultural diversity and age range. Their interests range from Art, to Law and Business meaning varied outlooks on the matter at hand - criterion essential to the inclusive representation of the age band.
